There are no shortage of Metroidvania games on the PlayStation 4, but those Game Boy Advance titles from Konami: chef’s kiss. For as many mistakes as the Japanese publisher makes – look at the state of eFootball, for example – even it knows that a Castlevania Advance Collection would be a sure-fire hit on Sony’s system. And lo and behold, it’s been rated for release in Taiwan.
This rumour has actually been running for a little while, with the title previously appearing on both the Australian and Korean ratings boards, but this is the first time PS4 has been listed as a target platform. While there’s no further information at this stage, we’re going to assume the compilation will include Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, and Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow.
That’s not a bad trio, readers – not a bad trio at all.

Always wanted to play these games. Had a GBA back in the day and missed out on these.
The only Castlevania I remember was 2D on my Sega Mega Drive II back in the 90s.
Never played any of them but always heard good things so if true will finally give them a go.

Also I never played castlevania ds games since I don't have original ds, I hope konami port it too. And maybe remake castlevania sotn with updated 4K sprite, since that game is near unplayable on 55inch 4k tv (it looks great on vita screen though).
I've only ever played the first snes version but I really enjoyed the Netflix series so am semi interested in this.

I hope they do a good job with this. As long as the controls are mappable unlike the Virtual Console entries (what heathen jumps with A/Circle?), I’m in. Remaster the amazing soundtracks and get some decent full screen options and I’ll pay a high price!

That’s how I do it. Classic collections and 2D games I always buy on Switch. I like playing them right before I go to sleep on work nights.
This time I won't skip the Limited Run physical release, lol.
Hype news if true, shame they won't be full-on remakes though.

Awesome, I only posted yesterday that I need to give the metroidvania genre another go… and I read a good few comments on the same article about how good Aria of Sorrow was.

@AllTheReddist according to Korea rating's board, it is.
In Taiwan rating board, it is revealed for Switch, PC, Xbox One, and PS4 (and ofc you can play it on XSX, XSS, and PS5 via backwards compatibility)
Now if only Sony could PLEASE relent on their rights of the Requiem collection and relent SOTN for Switch and PC...
If this collection exists, I would be buying it on Switch (if it turns out well) as I feel that because since these are handheld Castlevania games, it only feels right to play it on a handheld

Please make this happen here in the US, I’d be able to see these games again easily on my TV. My tired eyes just can’t see my old GBA screen anymore.
remind me why i would pay konami (the worst publisher around) for more lackluster ports when i can already emulate them perfectly in retroarch? o, yea, the original creators who made these great games were either fired or left the publisher years ago due to mistreatment. none of these creatives will receive a dime from these collections... real fans of castlevania should not support this if they have any sense left in them.

@Dunric with the PlayAsia listing and the Taiwanese, Korean, and Australian ratings (The Australian rating is still there iirc), it is almost 100% certain that Castlevania GBA Collection does in fact exist. It is only a matter of time when Konami announces it. Maybe the Nintendo Direct tomorrow will show the Castlevania GBA Collection
